Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information getofflinemusic.com (“Get Offline Music”, “we”) collects when you use the website, and how it is used. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run and improve the site.
No accounts, no cookies for visitors
You can use the whole site without signing up. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how the site is used, our own server records simple, anonymous events:
- pages you view and the website that referred you (domain only, e.g. google.com);
- search terms you type into the site search;
- songs you preview, and clicks on “Download” / app store buttons;
- your approximate country (from our network provider) and device type (iPhone, Android or desktop).
Each browser is given a random identifier stored in your browser’s local storage, so we can count unique visitors. It is not linked to your name, email or any account. We do not store your IP address with these events. Statistics are kept on our own server and are automatically deleted after 180 days.
Data stored in your browser
The site saves a few settings in your browser’s local storage: your selected country, your “Recently played” list and the random visitor identifier. This data never leaves your device except as described above, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or using “Clear” on the Your Library page.
Third-party services
- Apple (iTunes Search API). Song, album and artist information, artwork and 30-second previews are provided by Apple. Artwork and audio previews load directly from Apple’s servers, so Apple receives your IP address and standard browser information when they load. - Google Fonts. The site’s font is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when the font loads.
- Cloudflare. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests to protect the site against abuse and to determine your country.
- App stores. “Download” and “Get the app” buttons open the Apple App Store or Google Play. Anything you do there is governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy policies.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because the statistics we collect are anonymous, we usually cannot link them to you. If you would like us to delete data associated with your browser, contact us with your visitor identifier (found in your browser’s local storage as gom_vid) and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at getofflinemusic.com/privacy.html, with the date of the last update at the top.
